Educational Qualification: |
A. (i) A Master‘s
degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the
grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an
Indian university, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign
university (ii) An eminent
scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline,
and having published work of high quality, being actively engaged in research
with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 research publications in
peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals. The applicant must achieve a total
research score of 120 as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2, of
the University Grants Commission Regulations, 2018 (iii) A minimum of
ten years of teaching experience in university/college as an Assistant
Professor/an Associate Professor/a Professor, and/or research experience at
equivalent level at the University/National Level Institutions with evidence
of having successfully guided doctoral candidates OR B. An outstanding
professional, having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied/applied
disciplines, from any academic institution(s) (not included in A
above)/industry, who has made significant contribution to knowledge in the
concerned/allied/relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence,
provided he/she has ten years of experience |

Educational Qualification: |
A. i) A Master‘s
degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the
grading system is followed) in a
concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian university, or an equivalent
degree from an accredited
foreign university ii) Besides fulfilling
the above qualifications, the applicant must have cleared the National
Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by
the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, such as
SLET/SET or must have been
awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards
and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016,
and their amendments
from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET : Provided, the
candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall
be governed by the provisions of
the then existing Ordinances/Bye-laws/Regulations of the Institution awarding
the degree and such
Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and
appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions
subject to the fulfilment of the following conditions: a) The Ph.D.
degree of the candidate has been awarded in regular mode; b) The Ph.D.
thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners; c) An open Ph.D.
viva voce of the candidate has been conducted; d) The candidate
has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work, out of which at
least one is in a refereed
journal; e) The candidate
has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars
sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any similar agency. The fulfilment of
these conditions is to be certified by the Registrar or the Dean (Academic Affairs) of the
University concerned. OR B. The Ph.D. degree
has been obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among
top 500 in the World University
Ranking (at any time) by any one of the following: (i) Quacquarelli
Symonds (QS) (ii) the Times
Higher Education (THE) or (iii) the Academic
Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University
(Shanghai). |

for the post of ________________________________’’, must be sent to The Registrar, The English and Foreign Languages University, near
Tarnaka, Hyderabad - 500007 so as reach the undersigned by 6:00 p.m on or before
15.06.2020.
Important Information:
The minimum qualifications, eligibility, and pay
scales for the posts of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor
shall be strictly as prescribed by the UGC Regulations (Minimum Qualifications
for appointment of teachers and other academic staff in Universities and
Colleges and Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education)
2018, as issued and amended from time to time.
The same may be accessed at www.ugc.ac.in. Applicants will
also have to submit their Academic Performance Indicators (API) scores as per
the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2 of the aforesaid UGC Regulations
2018.
Application Fee and Mode
of Payment
Rs.1,000/- for UR/OBC/EWS
category applicants.
No application fee will be
charged from applicants belonging to SC/ST/PWD categories.
Fees once paid will not be
refunded under any circumstances, even if the recruitment is deferred or
cancelled for any reason.
Payment should be made
through a demand draft drawn from a nationalised bank in favour of The Registrar, The English and Foreign
Languages University, payable at Hyderabad.
The application will be
rejected in case the application fee is not received before the last date of
submission.
Candidates applying for
more than one post/department must pay the fees separately.
